Introducing rural transport in the university curricular
The authorities of the Department of Economics and Sociology and the Rural Section of the Department of Agronomics at the University of Dschang in West Cameroon have enthusiastically agreed to introduce rural transport issues in the academic training programme for future agronomists.
It is in this context that on 21st of November 2007, a workshop/conference is organised to discuss rural transport issues and systems (STMR) for all the students at the Faculty of Agronomics. This is a welcome first step to integrate rural transport issues in the curricular of the faculty.
In the long term we hope that this initiative will lead to an innovative diploma course in rural transport at the University of Dschang.
