New Global Road Safety Blog
http://globalroadsafety.blog.com/ is a new blog by Matt Ericson, a PhD student at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, who is currently undertaking research on rural road safety in Cambodia and the Lao PDR.
Matt is approaching his research with two assumptions about the difficulties in addressing road safety in development, that it is difficult to regulate safety with weak institutions and that there is inadequate transport for rural people. His research therefore seeks to understand how to improve safety without exacerbating the under-supply problem.
