For more than 10 years Transaid has been implementing projects to reduce poverty and improve lives in Africa and across the developing world through creating better transport. They have done this by building local management skills and knowledge to make transport cheaper, safer and more effective, ensuring better access to the essentials for everyday life such as healthcare, education, and economic opportunities. Transaid combine the expertise of the UK and European Transport and logistics industry with a long experience of working in the developing world. They partner with communities, governments, donors and other organisations to achieve their aims.
Everything which Transaid has achieved has only been made possible through the commitment and professionalism of key experts on the ground. On many occasions these experts were derived from Ministries of Health with which Transaid had previously worked, for example in South Africa or Ghana. Now Transaid is seeking to build its capacity in the developing world by attracting, vetting, selecting and sensitizing a cadre of indigenous transport consultants with the skills and experience to complement the core capacity of Transaid’s full time programmes team.
Transaid aims to attract individuals with proven theoretical and practical experience in the following areas:
- Rural Transport
- Fleet Management
- Intermediate Modes of Transport
- Driver Training
- Patient Referral
- Community Engagement
- Cold Chain Logistics
If you have expertise and experience in the above areas, and you want to be part of Transaid’s growth then please go to the webpage below and download, complete and submit the application form to email@example.com.
